Although the first week on Autumn in the Upstate has not been the cool, crisp air we are anticipating, we can anticipate the various Fall Festivals that will take place soon and with them, hopefully the Mountain breezes that Autumn is sure to bring.
One such staple in the Fall Festivals is the Pumpkintown Pumpkin Festival! Held every second Saturday in October, this year’s event falling on October 13th, is sure to delight the entire family. With pumpkins ready for the pickin’ from the patch, this is the place to get ready for the harvest season. Spend your day enjoying the live music, tasting what many refer to as the best BBQ chicken, and browse the arts and crafts booths. But don’t think that is the extent of what is offered – there will also be a parade, carnival rides, and yes, the greased pole climbing!
