The North Carolina Arboretum is worth seeing anytime of the year but they do put on a special display for the Christmas Season! From now through December 31st, you can experience the extravagant Winter Lights show – and yes, this involves over 500,000 lights. Walk through the transformed gardens and see the winter wonderland display of lights, which incorporate and enhance the natural beauty of the location. Some of the displays are even synchronized to music! There is a Cocoa Shack where you can purchase hot chocolate and even s’more supplies for the garden campfires.
